Tawang Monastery

Tawang Monastery is the largest monastery in India and one of the most significant Buddhist centers in the world. Perched at an altitude of about 3,000 meters, it offers breathtaking views of the surrounding Himalayan mountains and valleys. Founded in the 17th century, the monastery belongs to the Gelug sect of Tibetan Buddhism and is home to hundreds of monks. It features a विशाल prayer hall, ancient scriptures, and a magnificent golden statue of Lord Buddha.
